In six public reading group sessions, we work through a selection of texts by James Baldwin, Ken Bugul, Teju Cole, Akwaeke Emezi, Bernardine Evaristo, Andrea Lee, Maaza Men, Kwame McPherson, Johny Pitts, Koleka Putuma, Zadie Smith, and Brandon Taylor. Wir hinterfragen unsere Sehgewohnheiten! Durch Gucklöcher und selbstgebastelte Fernrohre suchen wir die Museumsräume und Kunstwerke nach ungewöhnlichen Mustern ab. Abgezeichnet und vervielfältigt werden unsere Skizzen im Studio Gegenwart zu einem einzigen Gesamtkunstwerk, einem grossen Musterteppich, zusammengefügt. Inspiriert von «When We See Us» hat OKRA Collective eine neue audiovisuelle Installation entwickelt. Die hypnotisierende Kombination aus Stimmen, Geräuschen und polyrhythmischer Musik handelt vom Schwarzen Alltag aus einer afrodiasporischen Perspektive. In Zusammenarbeit mit Anti-Mass, einem Kollektiv und Label aus Kampala/Uganda. Kosten: CHF 10/5.
