A museum tour in pictures

Welcome to the Kunstmuseum Basel! On the first floor of our Hauptbau the old masters have a fixed place. But you can also discover many masterpieces of the 17th to 19th centuries.

On the second floor of our Hauptbau you will find numerous paintings and sculptures of classical modernism and the 20th century.

At the Kunstmuseum Basel | Gegenwart we present young, contemporary positions and show works from 1960 onwards.

An eye-catcher: on the second floor, Ferdinand Hodler's "View into infinity" welcomes you.

"Damascus Gate" by Frank Stella is the eye-catcher in the spacious foyer in the basement of the Neubau.

The Neubau not only houses the large special exhibitions, but also the collection from 1950 onwards.

Two rooms on the first floor of the Kunstmuseum Basel | Neubau are dedicated to works by Joseph Beuys.

The Bistro is situated in the large courtyard of the Hauptbau.

In our store you will find everything around the theme of art, for young and old.
