The Ambassador Program of Kunstmuseum Basel is a volunteering-based initiative to foster stronger ties between the arts and our international Basel community. Our aim is to connect individuals passionate about the arts and integrate them into the rich fabric of art, culture and society in Basel. Ambassadors can get involved through a variety of diverse artistic and cultural volunteering opportunities at the Kunstmuseum Basel – according to their interests, experiences, skills and time.

Ambassadors can get involved in several ways:

• Event-based support: supporting the museum’s public programs such as exhibition openings, workshops, special events
• Skill-based support: assisting the staff of the museum with projects, event planning and design, targeted marketing of programs

Ambassadors will profit from a set of benefits such as:

• Free admission to the permanent collection galleries and reduced entry for special exhibitions
• Invitation to the yearly “special welcome event” for Ambassadors
• Invitation to Ambassador Program gatherings
• Reductions of entry fees and tickets for selected public programs (parties, receptions, gatherings)
• Special conditions for guided group tour and workshop rates
• 10% discount at the Museum Shop
• 10% discount at the Museum Bistro

How to get involved:

We are currently not accepting new applications. Applications are reviewed once a year in January. Next Submission Deadline: January 5, 2025.

We are looking for motivated individuals, with diverse backgrounds, who are passionate about the arts to join our Ambassador community.
