The Kunstmuseum Basel has been home to the oldest public art collection in the world since 1661 and is one of the most renowned institutions of its kind internationally. We present exciting and diverse exhibitions and programs in our three buildings: the Hauptbau, the Neubau, and the Gegenwart. With over 230 employees, we are one of the largest museums in Switzerland. Organizationally, we are a department of the Presidential Department of the Canton of Basel-Stadt.
