Audiovisuelle Installation von OKRA Collective, aufbauend auf einer Zusammenarbeit mit Anti-Mass, einem Kollektiv und Label aus Kampala/Uganda. OKRA ist ein im Sommer 2020 gegründetes Kollektiv von Schwarzen multidisziplinären Kreativen. Seit seiner Gründung hat es zahlreiche Veranstaltungen in der ganzen Schweiz und im Ausland geschaffen und mitgestaltet, die als Orte der Gemeinschaft, Verbindung und des Networkings dienen.
19:30-21 Uhr: Live DJ Set mit FONCÉ (OKRA Collective)
Die Installation wird bei einem speziellen OKRA-Abend am 5. September 2024, 18–21 Uhr im Kunstmuseum Basel | Gegenwart* erneut aktiviert.

Where do we go from here. Critical outlook with guests as part of "When We See Us"
Auf Englisch. The Critical Friends of "When We See Us" – historian Lorena Rizzo, curator Kadiatou Diallo and researcher Sindi-Leigh McBride - invite you to an evening with artists, activists and academics to discuss various socio-critical aspects in the discursive environment of "When We See Us", including white supremacy, questions of representation or the situatedness of the exhibition in a Swiss cultural landscape, and to discuss what a sustainable practice of international cooperation could look like. With an intervention by the Ensemble Institut Jazz and a pop-up bar. Admission: CHF 25/15.
