Jeden Monat aufs Neue finden im Kunstmuseum Kinderworkshops zu einem wechselnden Thema statt. Experimentiere mit Techniken, Farben und Materialien, mach dich mit Künstler:innen und ihren Werken vertraut und lerne das Museum mit seiner Sammlung immer wieder aus einem neuen Blickwinkel kennen!

Die Kinderworkshops finden jeden letzten Samstag im Monat von 14 - 16.30 Uhr statt. Ihr könnt euch bis zum vorhergehenden Donnerstag unter [email protected] anmelden.

First explore the Museum yourself and then head for the studio – or the other way round? Every first Sunday of the month, our studio is open to anyone who before or after touring the Museum wishes to be creative, explore things, or experiment. The studio is run by two art educationalists who are at hand with support and advice and the one or other surprise.

The Open Studio takes place every first Sunday of the month from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Das Kunstmuseum macht Platz für dich und stellt sich auf dich ein. Stöbere in unseren Pop-Up-Bibliotheken, richte dich ein um zu lesen oder werde kreativ - ob allein oder zusammen mit anderen. An unterschiedlichen Orten im Museum tauchen immer wieder neue offene Angebote auf, damit du das Museum in deinem Rhythmus erkunden kannst. Komm vorbei zum Verweilen und Entdecken.

Diesen Sommer wartet wieder ein buntes Ferienprogramm am Kunstmuseum auf euch – vom freien Malen an den Wänden, über Tanzen und Bewegung bis hin zur Arbeit mit Medien beim Musikvideo Drehen in der Sammlung.

No plans for your birthday yet? In the Kunstmuseum's atelier, you can celebrate by crafting, painting, cutting out, gluing together and, above all, creating. You decide which theme will be our inspiration!

Parallel to the openings of our major special exhibitions, the Kunstmuseum organises special openings for children between the ages of 4 and 12. They can go through various stations on a course to engage with the exhibition content in a playful, experimental, aesthetic and physical way.
The programme is run by a trained team of art educators and teachers and takes place without parental supervision. With the kind support of the Friends of the Kunstmuseum Basel.

Once a year, the Kunstmuseum Basel is transformed into a huge trail for children and families! Take part in one of our numerous interactive activities, experiment with materials and discover the museum for yourself! The Family Day always takes place on the first Sunday in November.
