Sun, 1 Nov 2026, 10 am–5 pm
Free participation for all ages

On Family Day, admission to the museum is free, with the exception of the special exhibition Van Gogh, Hodler and a Cabriolet. The Collector and Pioneer Gertrud Dübi-Müller (reduced admission). All Family Day activities outside the special exhibition are also free of charge.
Family Day is generously supported by the Friends of Kunstmuseum Basel.

Pack your sense of adventure, courage and curiosity and come to Family Day at the Kunstmuseum with your loved ones! Satisfy your wanderlust on a journey through our collection – taking you across green meadows to snow-covered mountain ranges and volcanoes. Use collage and plenty of creativity to make your own postcards to send to your friends, get to know the collector and adventurer Gertrud Dübi-Müller on a short guided tour, or discover the stories of other pioneers in our pop-up library.
