Produced by the Institut Kunst, HGK FHNW, and the Kunstmuseum Basel
The lecture series Curating … Lectures from the exhibition maker’s practice is organized by the Kunstmuseum Basel | Gegenwart in collaboration with the Hochschule für Gestaltung und Kunst (HGK). Søren Grammel, director of the Kunstmuseum Basel | Gegenwart, and Roman Kurzmeyer, who teaches at the HGK, invite exhibition makers, curators, theorists, and artists to talk about the concept of curating. The speakers offer insight into their own curatorial practice, reflect on projects by other exhibition makers, or engage in a theoretical examination of the idea of curatorship.
Until the summer of 2016, the lectures in this series, which was launched in 2014, were held at the studio vis-à-vis the Kunstmuseum Basel | Gegenwart. Upcoming lectures will be held at the Kunstmuseum Basel | Gegenwart. Admission is free; no reservation required.
